One in four bankruptcies in the EU is due to the non-payment of invoices on time*.

The problem of late payments is severe in Portugal, with indicators below the EU average, namely in terms of the number of days in arrears.

These practices and payment deadlines are damaging both at State and B2B levels, causing severe bottlenecks in our companies.

These issues were discussed in a conversation with the European Commission, in which CIP participated, and which anticipates the proposed revision of the European Late Payment Directive, which should be submitted in the second half of 2023.
