Under the motto “Regional integration for economic growth in Africa,” the President of CIP – Confederação Empresarial de Portugal, Armindo Monteiro, was one of the participants in the business meeting organized by CEOE – Confederación Española de Organizaciones on 19 December in Madrid.

Included in the programme of the high-level meeting on “Transformative Investments in Africa: boosting job-creating initiatives,” promoted by the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union in close partnership with the African Union, the initiative was attended by institutions, government organisations and European and African companies who had the opportunity to discuss the many options that exist in the African market.

The President of CIP stressed “the importance of strengthening multilateral and bilateral relations,” the economic potential that exists between Africa and the rest of the world and noted that “we must look at the African market and analyse its needs from a bottom-up perspective, get to know and analyse the needs of companies and markets and adapt our offer, capacity, and model of investment and partnerships.”
