The President of CIP, Armindo Monteiro, met with the Ambassador of the Ivory Coast, Annick Josiane Capet Bakou, to discuss the many economic opportunities between the two countries.
The meeting’s agenda included possible avenues for collaboration between the Embassy and CIP to increase bilateral relations between Portugal and that African country.
Potential business opportunities include the agri-food sector; cocoa, palm oil, rice, tropical fruit, cashew, cotton, and rubber processing; infrastructure (e.g., roads and schools); electricity production and distribution (e.g., solar); telecommunications.
Finally, it should be emphasised that the climate of stability in Côte d’Ivoire has enabled the launch of significant investment projects, namely the National Development Plan 2021-25, focused on market reforms and investment in infrastructure.
