The President of CIP, António Saraiva, participated in the BusinessEurope Presidents’ Council, which met in Stockholm on 24-25 November. The significant challenges faced by business were under discussion, and the Presidents of the 40 member federations of BusinessEurope signed the “Stockholm Declaration,” which presents the main messages from the business community, with a view to the upcoming Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The Declaration calls for swift action to address the immediate risks businesses face, including finding solutions to the energy crisis, maintaining openness in international trade, and temporarily easing the heavy bureaucratic and legislative burdens on business.
