The President of the Portuguese Business Confederation, Armindo Monteiro, received the visit of the Ambassador of France, Mrs Hélène Farnaud-Defromont.

On that occasion, Armindo Monteiro had the opportunity to mention that the development of the gas and electricity infrastructures of the Iberian Peninsula and France and, consequently, of the European Union would translate into improvements in the functioning of the electricity and gas markets. He also expressed satisfaction with the political agreement on the energy interconnection project H2Med, the first major green corridor to connect the Iberian Peninsula to the French city of Marseille.

In addition to energy, the meeting covered the main challenges of the French economy, European legislation, trade agreements, cooperation with Africa, and opportunities for institutional collaboration, including with MEDEF.
