CIP’s president, António Saraiva, participated at the opening walkabout of the Hannover Messe’22, in which Portugal is the official partner country under the motto “Portugal Makes Sense”, alongside the Portuguese Prime Minister, António Costa, the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, the BDI (Federation of German Industries) President, Siegfried Russwurm, and AICEP chairman, Luis Castro Henriques.

António Saraiva emphasized that “we are witnessing a paradigm shift which impacts the way companies operate” and defended that “now is the time to re-launch Europe’s industrial base and preserve open and dynamic markets.”

CIP’s President has highlighted the characteristics that distinguish Portuguese companies: their dynamism, flexibility, capacity to innovate and anticipate global trends, and the ability to create solutions that respond to clients’ needs. He also stressed that the 109 Portuguese companies present at the most prominent industrial fair in the world are an example of the level of innovation and quality of national companies, which today compete globally with the best in the world.
