CIP – Confederation of Portuguese Business, participated at the Lisbon – Vladivostok Conference, on last 28 June 2021 at AIP/CCI – Portuguese Industrial Association / Chamber of Commerce and Industry premises in Lisbon.

The event aimed to present to the participants the Lisbon – Vladivostok Initiative (LVI) for the creation of a common economic space between the countries of the European Union (EU) and the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), as well as to mark the entry of the new Portuguese members AIP/CCI, AEP – Portuguese Business Association/Chamber of Commerce and Industry and CCILR – Chamber of Commerce and Industry Luso-Russian, in the LVI, in an on-site ceremony where representatives of the referred Portuguese business entities, Paulo Vaz (AEP), Jorge Pais and Filomena Pires (AIP) and Bruno Valverde Cota (CCILR) signed its memorandum of accession in the presence of the LVI Chairman, Ulf Schneider.

This was followed by three business round tables where business opportunities in the EAEU were discussed: Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia, in the areas of pharmaceutical products, transport and logistics and green energy (Green Deal).
