CIP’s Secretary General, Carla Sequeira, was in Brussels on a round of meetings with the Commission, the European Parliament, and the Permanent Representation of Portugal, to present the main concerns of Portuguese companies and discuss solutions at the European level.

CIP appealed for the urgent need to suspend the legislative proposals that impose heavy burdens on companies, in a context where it should be a priority for the EU to facilitate the operation of companies facing escalating energy prices, raw material shortages, labour shortages, weak demand, and rising financing costs.
