The CERI – CIP Strategic Council for International Relations met, in person and online, and counted with the intervention of Marta Blanco Quesada, President of CEOE International, who presented to the CERI members the priorities of CEOE regarding the Spanish presidency of the Council of the EU in the second half of 2023, with a focus on trade policy.
Throughout the meeting, several points were common with CIP’s priorities: the desire for rapid progress on trade agreements with Chile, Mexico, Mercosur, and the Andean Community. Furthermore, relevant events that the CEOE will organise within the scope of the Presidency were listed.
The President of CERI, Arnaldo Figueiredo, reinforced the vital role of the Spanish Presidency in focusing EU efforts on institutional and business relations with the Latin American region.
