Business at OECD (BIAC) presented recommendations to the OECD, during the annual meeting with leadership and ambassadors, where CIP participated, and which took place on the 20th February in Paris.

These recommendations include the need to ensure energy becomes an horizontal issue at OECD, strengthen the campaign for open markets, foster better policy, and promote a bureaucracy break for SMEs. Joana Valente, Head of EU affairs, mentioned the increased importance of the OECD in the current context, in its defense for core values such as peace, multilateralism, individual freedom, democracy, and rule of law. “ The permanent dialogue with representatives from the real economy is fundamental to ensure the public policies the OECD promotes are effective in achieving the objectives.”, she added.
