The President of the Confederation of Portuguese Business, Armindo Monteiro, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Portugal, Daulet Batrashev, and the agenda item included a discussion on matters of bilateral cooperation in the business area.
In terms of Portuguese exports of goods, Kazakhstan was the 125th client in 2021, representing 0.01% of the total. Concerning imports, they occupied the 78th position or 0.03% of the total. However, it highlighted the vast potential for this economic relationship to grow.
Moreover, the Kazakh embassy has established several contacts with Portuguese companies in various areas, including ICT, construction, architecture and design, textiles (shoes), food products (wine), and tourism.
